Aquila

Advisor: Zachary Fields


Purpose: Aquila is a literary and art magazine that celebrates the creativity and diversity of Mt. Ararat students. The magazine, comprising paintings, drawings, photography, poetry, stories, and essays, is both edited and published by club members, and is available for sale each spring.

Activities and pursuits: Aquila is Mt. Ararat High School's literary and art magazine. The Aquila staff meets 1-2 times a week, working on the spring production of the magazine. Some of the tasks include: marketing, analyzing submissions, selecting submissions, editing, graphic design, and computer layout. Some staff members handle many roles, while other members are specialists. The Aquila staff is always looking for new members.


Other information: Joining Aquila is a great way for students considering a future in editing, publishing, writing, or graphic design to gain experience and explore possibilities in these fields.
