Program of Studies
The goal of the Visual Arts program is to encourage students to explore art media and push themselves creatively in the areas of visual arts they want to pursue. It is our belief that participation in the visual arts are integral to all students’ educational experience. We will provide the best studio experience for students and offer intense learning opportunities in ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing and digital arts. At Mt. Ararat, we foster an environment that is safe for our young artists to explore, take risks and realize their full potential as artists. Our aim is to awaken and inspire each student’s ability to express themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment.

This includes:
Learning the skills necessary to participate in the visual arts and use a variety of art media.
Knowing that everyone is influenced by the visual culture of the past and present.
Understanding the Elements and Principles of Design,the building blocks of art making.
